Fantastic buy. Was able to use from about 10 weeks. He loved it. Used it for starting weaning, and the size means we take it with us when going away for the weekend to feed in. Only problem starting now is that at 6 months, my son arches back alot, and despite the high back he will eventually be able to tip out of it.

Would recommend this.

An amazing contraption that looks like an over-sized potty but is great for weaning, as well as for a safe place for your child to sit. Light and portable (though too bulky for a handbag) it's fab for visits to friends and grandparents - a highchair and chair all in one. We stopped using ours earlier than some others, because our daughter had started to push herself backwards. I think if you can get through this phase, you can use the bumbo through to early toddlerdom.

This chair is great if you have a baby who refluxes/possets a lot and you need to keep them upright for a while after feeds. It is suggested that you only use the chair from around three months (issues around head control) but some babies can manage to control their head in it from 8 weeks. I found that when I put my son in it he would shortly afterwards do a good burp - better than beating him on the back for hours. It was also fab if I wanted to put him down somewhere safe and soft while I did something quick like making the bed. The chair is light enough to carry up and down stairs and to different rooms. Also a fabulous chair for weaning a baby who cannot yet sit properly in a high chair - you get to have both hands free and you can even put the chair on the table so that baby is at eye level. Chair is made of material that is easy to clean. Look for one on eBay to save money, although Bumbo chairs fetch a fair price even on eBay.

Mixed feelings - I could see it could potentially have been great, and all my friends who I have lent it to have loved it for their babies, but my DS hated it and was able to get out of it at around 7/8 months by straightening his back and flipping about!
