Fantastic for newborns due to the soft insert. We really couldn't have coped without it due to our son suffering from colic really badly. Our son grew out of it quite quickly as he is very long so we have moved on to the Baby Bjorn. Would definitely recommend if you are using it on tiled/wood floors but due to friction it wasn't so great on carpet and needed extra effort to rock, this is likely to be an issue for all rockers. We paid about £40 so thought it was great value.
