IngredientsDecent ice cream - vanilla or chocolate works well1 large chocolate chip muffin 1 jar of chocolate spread 1 small mug of hot chocolate |
Handy HintThis was created from a last minute disaster with a souffle...Worked so well that my family keep asking for this desert. Dont be put off by the choc spread part - it really works well. Heating it up turns it into a fantastic sauce. We use Green and Blacks spread - divine! For adults a good slosh of alcohol in the base with/without the hot choc is fine and I often sprinkle a flake on the top. Easy! |

MethodMake your mug of hot chocolate (fairly strong works well and keep it milky).Let it cool down so it is just warm. Break up the muffin and divide into 4 bowls. Pour over enough hot choc to moisten the muffin nicely without swamping it. No floating bits! Cover the cake with a healthy dollop of ice cream. Take the lid off your jar of chocolate spread and pop in the microwave for about 1 minute (check every 20 secs though - overcooking will ruin it). You want it warm, shiny and runny. Dribble the warm chocolate spread over the ice cream and serve. | |||||||||||||||||||
