Ingredients

250g block halloumi cheese
Variety of veg - eg red onion, mushrooms, peppers, cherry tomatoes, aubergine

Method

1. Cut cheese and vegetable into good sized chunky cubes
2. Thread on to kebab skewers
3. Once all the kebabs are complete, drizzle the lot with good olive oil and chopped fresh (or dried) herbs
4. Grill on BBQ (or on a hot frying pan) until ready - the cheese holds its shape and is yummy

Semi cooked peppers/onions/aubergine can be a bit much for many kids. Perhaps cook a bit first to brown and soften otherwise not very pleasant to eat. Otherwise tomatoes will go to mush and cheese will be horrid before veg are nicely cooked.

If using wooden skewers it is a good idea to soak them in water for an hour before you use them as this stops them catching fire on the barbie
