IngredientsGlug of olive oil1kg extra lean mince 3 onions (diced) 2 large carrots (diced) 2 portobello mushrooms (sliced) 400g tin tomatoes 400g tin kidney beans 1 tbsp tomato puree (or half bottle pasata) 4 cloves garlic (peeled and chopped) Chopped handful of herbs (basil, mint, parsley all work.) 1 tbsp drinking chocolate 1 tsp mild chilli powder Generous squirt of tomato ketchup Splash of red wine (or water if you prefer) Splash of worcester sauce Seasoning |

Method1. Brown the mince in a heavy pan. Add all the other ingredients except the carrots and herbs.2. Simmer for 1-2 hours (adding a little water if necessary) 3. Add carrots and herbs. 4. Simmer for further 30 mins. 5. Serve your chilli con carne with rice or baked potato | |||||||||||||||||||||
