Ingredients

A few piece of bacon (or a pack of lardons)
1 onion, chopped
Cheese sauce (make your own or from a packet)
Macaroni
Grated cheddar

Handy Hint

Can be made in advance and bunged into oven when needed

Method

1. Fry the bacon bits and onions in a small of oil and put to one side.
2. Put the macaroni on to cook and make your cheese sauce
3. Cook the macaroni well - if it's still al dente, it will absorb the cheese sauce and be less nice.
4. Cover thickly with gated cheddar and then put into an oven at 200C for about 15 minutes or until the top is nice and melty and going brown in parts.
