Ingredients1 large skinned chicken leg
3 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 large or two small leeks, sliced
2" piece turnip chopped
1 medium peeled potato chopped
2 tbsp uncooked rice
2 tsp fresh chipped parsley
Method1. Put all ingredients, except parsley in a in a large pot and add cold water until ingredients are just covered. Bring to boil then simmer for 1-1.5hrs until chicken is cooked and comes away easily from the bone.
2. Remove the chicken leg and take all the meat off the bone. Return chicken meat to pan and add parsley.
3. Blend to desired consistency. Refrigerate overnight to thicken then freeze in portions.
