1 garlic clove (crushed)
400g chopped tomatoes
Pinch sugar
Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
100g rigatoni pasta
50g grated cheese
2 hot dogs (sliced)
Hunk of baguette or sliced bread, coarsely grated

The sauce in steps 1 and 2 can be prepared and then frozen.

Method

1. Fry the onion in the oil for 5 minutes until softened and lightly golden.
2. Add the garlic and mix in the tomatoes and sugar, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 mins. Add a few dashes Worcestershire sauce to taste.
3. Cook the pasta according to pack instructions. 4. Heat the grill to high. Mix together the breadcrumbs and cheese.

This is a quick lunch / supper for the kids , but can also be a substantial family meal with garlic bread and salad.
