Ingredients

9oz butter, 90z caster sugar, 6oz syrup, 15oz oats.

Handy Hint

Mark it into slices whilst it is still warm to make it easier to break up.

Method

Melt the butter, syrup and sugar in a pan. Remove from heat, stir in oats, line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and spoon the oats mixture into it. Bake in the oven at 180C for 30 mins, until golden brown.

In grams the recipe asks for 250g butter, 250g sugar, 170g syrup. 430g oats. I put in approximate amounts and used 3 tablespoons of syrup as that's what had left. They're fine.... maybe a little greasy so I'd probably use less butter next time.
