Ingredients8oz butter (melted)3/4 cup caster sugar 3/4 cup light brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tbsp vanilla extract 2 1/4 cups plain flour 1 tsp bicarbonate soda 1 tsp salt 12oz chocolate chips |
Handy HintI like to double the vanilla and substitute Crisco for half of the butter. My mom adds pecans/walnuts to hers. I also tend to double the recipe and freeze half the dough to pull out when unexpected company drop in - always a big hit! |

MethodPreheat oven to 180C.Mix together flour, salt, soda of bicarb in a medium bowl then set aside. Mix butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat eggs into butter/sugar mix until creamy. Fold half of the flour mix into the butter mix and stir well. Stir in remaining flour until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonful onto an un-greased baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||
