Ingredients

Chicken Liver
Onion
Apple
Carrot

Handy Hint

Freeze purées in ice trays. When frozen push cubes out, and put into freezer bags for easy portion mixing.

Method

1. Fry up some chicken liver with a bit of onion in some unsalted butter (just guess a reasonable mix), cook thoroughly and then purée.
2. Make sure you have some apple and carrot purees ready prepared.
3. Use an ice-cube sized amount of each of the apple, carrot and liver & onion purée, and mix together.
4. Left over liver & onion puree can then be frozen to allow even quicker preparation of the next meal.

Just made this for 6mth DS. Went down a treat - empty bowl! Easy to make. I substitued potato for the apple, and mixed it all together and have frozen in meal sized containers.

Good recipe for babies after first tastes established. This just went down really well with DS. Liver is a great source of iron which is so important after 6 months. The combination of apple and carrot seemed to sweeten the liver enough. I already had a load of apple and carrot purees in freezer so this is just a quick fry up and now I have some cubes frozen of the liver so even quicker - 1 minute in microwave!
