Ingredients

1 chicken breast, cut into strips
Fresh ginger, peeled and grated to taste
1 garlic clove (crushed)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp runny honey
Sesame oil (or sunflower if you can't find sesame)

Handy Hint

These chicken strips make a fantastic lunch-box munch. Also good for journeys. Or use in a stir fry with egg noodles and vegetables.

Method

1. Create a marinade by mixing together the ginger, garlic, soy sauce and honey.

2. Add strips of chicken to the marindade, coat thoroughly and leave overnight in the fridge.

3. The following day fry the marinaded chicken strips in hot sesame oil with a few dashes of the marinade in the pan too.

4. Cook until the chicken strips turn a sticky golden colour and are cooked through. Delicious!

For gluten-free soy sauce use Tamari sauce, easily found in most supermarkets or health food stores.
