Ingredients115g (4oz) butter115g (4oz) caster sugar 85g (3oz) golden syrup 230g (8oz) oats Finely grated zest of 1 orange, unwaxed if possible |
Handy HintI use my Parmesan grater to grate the zest finely. |

Method1. Melt the butter, sugar, syrup and orange zest in a pan over a low heat until the butter has melted, stirring occasionally.2. Stir in the oats. 3. Turn out into a tray (I use an 8 x 8 inch tray for this quantity) and press the mixture down flat. 4. Cook for 15-20 minutes at 180C/Gas Mark 4, until the edges are browned. 5.
